Delivery & Returns

Information about delivery, shipping, returns and remedies for physical products purchased from Droneit.

Last updated: 8 September 2026

Droneit Group Pty Ltd ACN 600 504 201, ABN 24 600 504 201 (Droneit, we, us or our) sells and delivers physical products within Australia.

This page applies to physical goods purchased from Droneit. Training courses, student services, course access and course materials are governed by our Terms & Conditions and, where applicable, the Student Handbook.

Nothing on this page excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.

Where we deliver

Droneit delivers physical goods throughout Australia.

We do not currently accept international orders for physical goods.

Some large or heavy products cannot be delivered to a PO Box and require a residential or business street address.

Standard delivery

Droneit offers free Australia Post shipping on some orders within Australia.

Free shipping does not apply where an item is too large or heavy for the applicable Australia Post service.

Physical orders are generally sent using Australia Post or StarTrack. Droneit may use another reputable Australian carrier where appropriate for the product or destination.

Where a signature is required, you must provide a residential or business address where somebody can receive the delivery. If nobody is available, the carrier may redirect the parcel for collection in accordance with its delivery procedures.

Insurance or additional registered or signature delivery services may be available on request before dispatch.

Dispatch and delivery times

Orders that are in stock and fully paid are normally dispatched within 1-2 business days.

Standard delivery is generally estimated at 3-7 business days after dispatch, depending on the destination and carrier.

These timeframes are estimates and are not guaranteed delivery dates.

Delivery may take longer because of remote locations, carrier network conditions, peak periods, severe weather, transport disruption or other circumstances outside Droneit's reasonable control.

Payment by bank transfer may add 2-3 business days for payment verification before dispatch.

If we become aware of a material delay affecting your order, we will contact you using the details provided with the order.

If Droneit determines that it cannot supply an ordered physical product, we will contact you and provide the appropriate refund for the goods that cannot be supplied.

Express delivery

Express delivery may be available for some orders.

If you need equipment urgently or by a particular date, contact Droneit on 1800 376 634 before relying on a particular delivery timeframe.

Any express-delivery cost will depend on the product, destination and available carrier service.

Express delivery does not necessarily mean overnight delivery. The actual delivery period depends on the point of dispatch, destination and carrier network.

Droneit will make reasonable efforts to select an appropriate service but does not guarantee a carrier's estimated delivery date.

Heavy and bulky products

Products that cannot reasonably be sent using standard Australia Post services may be delivered using StarTrack Road Express or another suitable freight service.

Heavy or bulky freight generally requires a residential or business street address and cannot be delivered to a PO Box.

Depending on the product and destination, collection from a carrier depot may also be available.

Contact us before ordering if you need to confirm delivery arrangements for a large or heavy product.

Delivery delays

Once an order has been dispatched, its physical transportation is performed by the carrier.

Tracking information may be provided where available.

A carrier delay does not automatically mean that an order has been lost or that the purchase has been cancelled.

If a delivery appears substantially delayed, contact Droneit so that we can investigate the shipment with the carrier.

Nothing in this section limits any right you may have where goods are not supplied within the period required by applicable law.

Lost deliveries

If you believe an order has been lost in transit, contact Droneit at sales@droneit.com.au and provide your order details.

We may investigate the shipment with the carrier and ask you to provide information reasonably necessary to locate or identify the order.

Where a shipment is confirmed lost, Droneit will resolve the matter in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law and any other rights that apply to the purchase.

You do not need to pursue the carrier yourself instead of dealing with Droneit.

Goods damaged during delivery

If goods arrive damaged, contact Droneit as soon as reasonably practicable at sales@droneit.com.au.

Where reasonably possible, retain the product, packaging and shipping materials while the issue is being assessed.

We may ask you to provide photographs or other information showing the condition in which the product and packaging arrived.

Droneit may use this information to assess the issue and make any appropriate claim against the carrier.

Damage occurring during delivery will be dealt with by Droneit in accordance with the rights and remedies applying to the purchase.

Change of mind

Droneit does not offer refunds or credits for change of mind.

This includes where you:

  • decide you no longer want or need the product
  • find the product cheaper elsewhere
  • purchase the wrong product
  • decide you do not like the product
  • change the purpose for which you intended to use it

This does not affect any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

Faulty products

If you believe hardware purchased from Droneit is faulty, first check the manufacturer's operating, setup and troubleshooting instructions where it is safe and reasonable to do so.

Before sending any hardware to Droneit, email sales@droneit.com.au and provide:

  • your order number
  • serial number
  • brand
  • model
  • a detailed description of the fault or issue

We will then advise you of the next steps and, where a return is required, where the product should be sent.

Do not send hardware to Droneit until you have received return instructions.

The address displayed on Droneit's website is not automatically the return address for every product.

Assessment of faulty products

Droneit may assess a product before determining the appropriate remedy.

Depending on the product and issue, assessment may be carried out by Droneit or with technical assistance from the product's Australian distributor or manufacturer.

Droneit remains responsible for dealing with the customer where the Australian Consumer Law requires Droneit, as the seller, to provide a remedy.

Manufacturer and distributor warranties operate in addition to rights available under the Australian Consumer Law. They do not replace or remove those rights.

Where a manufacturing fault is covered by an applicable manufacturer or distributor warranty, Droneit may facilitate the warranty assessment, repair or replacement process on your behalf.

Dead-on-arrival products

Where hardware is confirmed to be dead on arrival (DOA), Droneit will offer a replacement.

This does not limit any different remedy that you are entitled to choose under the Australian Consumer Law.

Minor problems

Where a product has a problem that is not a major failure under the Australian Consumer Law, Droneit may choose to repair the product or otherwise provide an appropriate remedy.

The remedy will be provided within the period required by applicable law.

If a minor problem cannot be remedied within a reasonable time, further rights may arise under the Australian Consumer Law.

Major problems

Where a product has a major problem under the Australian Consumer Law, you may be entitled to choose between a refund and a replacement.

Other rights, including compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage, may also apply where provided by law.

Problems caused after delivery

Consumer guarantees do not require Droneit to provide a remedy for a problem caused by the customer's misuse of the product.

Depending on the circumstances, this can include damage caused by incorrect operation, accident, unauthorised modification or another action occurring after supply for which Droneit is not responsible.

This does not limit any right or remedy that applies independently under Australian law.

Returning a product

If a product can reasonably be posted or returned, you are responsible for arranging its return after receiving Droneit's return instructions.

If the product is subsequently confirmed to have a problem for which Droneit is responsible under the Australian Consumer Law, Droneit will reimburse reasonable return costs where required by law.

Keep evidence of reasonable postage or transport costs if you intend to seek reimbursement.

Where faulty goods are large, heavy or difficult to return and Droneit is required by law to arrange or pay for collection, we will arrange the appropriate return within a reasonable time.

Where a repaired or replacement product is returned to you, Droneit will arrange the applicable delivery back to you.

Packaging returned products

You do not need the original packaging to exercise a right that cannot lawfully be made conditional on having that packaging.

However, we strongly recommend keeping the original packaging for drones, cameras, batteries, controllers and other sensitive equipment because it is usually the safest way to transport the product.

Returned goods must be packed with reasonable care and sufficient protection for transportation.

Where a customer arranges the return transport, Droneit is not responsible for separate damage caused by inadequate packaging or another event during that return journey for which Droneit is not responsible.

Proof of purchase

Droneit may require reasonable proof that the product was purchased from us before processing a return, warranty claim or Australian Consumer Law remedy.

Proof of purchase may include an order record, receipt, invoice or another record that reasonably demonstrates the purchase.

Promotional and sale purchases

Physical products purchased during a promotion or sale remain subject to the same Australian Consumer Law rights as other purchases.

Promotional and sale purchases do not qualify for a change-of-mind refund or free return unless the particular promotion expressly provides otherwise.

Where a refund is required, the refund is based on the amount actually paid for the relevant product.

The value of a promotional discount is not separately refundable and cannot be converted into cash or credit.

Refunds for physical products

Where Droneit is required to provide a refund for physical goods, the refund will be for the amount paid for the relevant goods, subject to any other amount required by law.

Refunds will ordinarily be made using the same form of payment used for the original purchase unless another method is agreed or required by the payment process.

Where the purchase was made through a third-party payment or finance service, the refund may be processed through that service and the customer's payment schedule or account balance adjusted accordingly.

Training and course purchases

This Delivery & Returns page does not govern refunds, cancellations, bookings or transfers relating to Droneit training courses, course access, assessments or other student services. Those requirements are set out in our Terms & Conditions and Student Handbook.
